11223344554433
Hello, I'm currently trying to use the draw > point > measure tool to create a set of points around a polyline but I can't seem to get them to start at a point that I want. When I try and create the points they start from a random place. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
eldon
Are you sure that it is a random place Measure starts from the endpoint nearest to where you picked the polyline, and the first point is not at the end, but at the measured distance from that end. Have another look, and if you are still mystified, post the drawing with only the polyline that is causing you problems.
tzframpton
DIVIDE command might be an alternative to the MEASURE command as well. May want to give that a shot.
11223344554433
I ended up getting it. I think the problem was that the polyline was a circuit, so I trimmed off a small section and added the points before joining the line back up. Thanks guys.
