zionshea
Please help me decide what is better for Autocad 3D and Revit work: 1. Intel Core i7-2630QM processor OR 2. Intel Core i7-2620M processor Also is the following processor much better than the above two? hanks, Zion
tzframpton
A comparison: http://ark.intel.com/compare/52219,52231 2620M might be a better option since AutoCAD and Revit do not utilize multi-core procs while working in real time. Rendering does utilize multiple cores I believe but would need to verify. The 2620M has a higher clock frequency so will theoretically be faster in raw performance but the margin between the two procs would probably be slim I'm guessing. Since these are laptop procs I would assume the ability to overclock would be stripped, locking you into the current hardware settings. zionshea
Thanks for the reply - mistakenly I forgot to enter the last line: Is the following processor much better than the above two: "Intel Core i7-2720QM processor".
