JD Mather
What file types will that program open? How are you saving an IGES file in AutoCAD 2007? When you say you, "I change the file type" are you simply using Windows Explorer to rename the file? If so, that is not valid. You will need free Inventor Fusion http://labs.autodesk.com or Inventor 2012 to save as IGES file type. More information is needed.

Cad64
Renaming a file does not change what type of file it is. It is still a .dwg. The link for Autodesk Labs has already been posted, but if you need a more direct link to Fusion, try this one: http://labs.autodesk.com/technologies/fusion/
