That statement was not directed at you personally. No offense was intended. It was a generalization based upon how PF treats its students.

I noticed that P-F makes no mention of using Layouts and Viewports. That's one big omission in my book.

That is covered in the course material a little, basic stuff. It is not required to use on any of their projects. I think that this is due to the way they check the students drawings. They are looking for specific points that will match. I didn't start using the viewports till I started in 3d stuff, they are needed there most.

I also agree that the layouts and viewports should be covered, I had to lern how to use them through this forum.

How many projects were there in the Penn Foster AutoCAD course of study and what were they called?

The first 3 projects were manual drafting tests IIRC.

First Cad project:

AutoCAD Blocks and Layers Oleson Village drafting project 4

Structural Drafting Project 5

Civil Drafting Project 6

Hvac project 7

Electrical project 8

Project 9 was the elective projects that were actually different versions of projects 5-8.
