PhAntoMAMD
Ok so this one is doing my head in! I am working on a project with multiple levels, and multiple xrefs. Problem I m having is that I keep getting these lines, or what looks like possibly a footprint of something? So I go into the xref to turn the layer off, but the lines are nowhere to be found in the xref drawing!? I have been through all the basics like turning all the layers on and off etc... I will attach an image showing the lines. Any help will be much appreciated!
nestly
They sort of look like break lines. Is there a layer named BRKL in that xref. Can you post the xref that the lines are associated with?
PhAntoMAMD
there is a layer called "break lines" in the xref but it does nothing switching that layer on or off?
nestly
If you issue the command PURGE in the xref drawing and "break lines" isn't one of the Layers that can be purged, then there is likely something there that you're missing. How about if you freeze layer xref|break lines in your master drawing? Maybe a clipping plane, or maybe the xref has an xref? I think we'll be able to narrow things down faster if you can post the xref that's causing the magic lines.
PhAntoMAMD
Alright so its all been figured out. You were right about the clipping plane. Never had to use that before so after a bit of searching for clipping planes the command "XCLIPFRAME" and set to "0" worked just perfect. Also sorry for not posting the xref file, as due to the nature of work I could have lost my job for sending it out!
