TEXT command made in MSexcel fail to execute in command line Autocad 2006 and higher

TEXT command concatenated in excel runs in AutoCad 2005 but not anymore in Autocad 2006 and higher. As this-- DT 34324.83,33162.32 100 0 SITE1

(To draw SITE1 with height of 100 and rotation 0 to the said coordinates).

Just guessing: check the textstyle you try to use. Does it use a fixed font size?

When using texts in AutoCAD, the program needs the dimension of the text. If the dimension is already fixed by the textstyle, it doesn't prompt you for the text height. But if the font size is not fixed in the textsize, you are asked to enter it when creating the text.

When using scripts, it is important (mandatory) to enter data as it is expected by the program.

If something goes wrong, press F2 and check at what point things began to go wrong. You should see the prompts, the answers provided by the script and the error message returned.

thanks but it does not prompt for text height but in the next prompt for rotation.I was plotting series of labels with given coordinates(position) aside from symbols in different excel file(formula). it goes well in Autocad2005. The series of labels i want to plot (paste in command prompt):

Do a manual test typing in the commands I agree with Fuccaro it will be your text style, you may want to add a first line to your script to set the correct Text style.

It pretty easy to have one style without a height and another preset.

Sirs i got it. I consulted ^Help^. The solution is to set DTEXTED to 1 which is new to 2006 and above where the value is defaulted to 2.
