    Default Help with Tags...or?

Can someone give me some help PLEASE....

What I'm trying to do is create/insert a blank title block(OR?), and be able to click on it anytime and have the info in the empty spaces change as needed.

ex. drawn by: , date: , drawing no.: , etc...
I would like to add my name, today's date etc.....for every different layout I make......

does anyone have an idea how to do this?

    Thanks

What you want to add are called attributes. They are text fields that are attached to blocks.

Make the attributes (ATT), put them into the proper place in the title block and then make a block (B or Block). Select the title block and all the attributes.

When you insert the (title block) block, a screen will pop up and let you input values for the attributes. You can change them anytime by double clicking on the block or using the attribute edit command (ATTEDIT).

Note: The order in which you select the attributes for the block, will determine the order in which they appear in the pop-up window.

I've added attributes to the drawing, made a block out of it and inserted it onto a layout page. when I attedit it and a screen pops up and asks for the value so i enter it, but nothing appears on the layout page.

I'll give it another try...........maybe I'm just doing it in the wrong order

Enter ATTDISP at the command line to check/change the settings.
