i have attached 2 files one is screen shot of 3 pipes intersecting. the other is the .ipt part file.

i am trying to extrude the angled pipe to the other 2 pipes, and cannot get the circle to extrude to both surfaces. I am a rookie at this so any help would be appreciated

    Trim Surface.jpg
    Something like this?
Also - sketch 2 is unconstrained.
    - you have a sick sketch
    - you did not need any workplanes - you could have done this all with one sketch of 3 rectangles revolved as surfaces and trimmed.

    thanks JD
    how did you accomplish this?

I am very new to this, so the workplane way is the way I know right now.
I'm not sure I was clear in my post, I also wanted to flatten the angled pipe

Are you only interested in the angle pipe, or all three?
If only interested in the angled pipe I would trim (as shown in my image history tree)>
Then Thicken by Thickness and add Rip.
You should then be able to Flat Pattern.

I didn't know you could trim the extrusions back to the surfaces.
