bplturner
Hey guys, I have two dynamic blocks. One is the plan view of a cylinder and one is the elevation view of a cylinder. When I change the parameter of the OD on the elevation, I want the plan view to change. I'd like to keep them as blocks (they're a little more complicated than just cylinders), but when I try to use parametrics to tie these two dimensions together I get: "Constraints cannot be applied between nested objects in the same block or Xref." Any ideas?
Grant
Yes this is because one dynamic block has no reference to the other and I don't think you can reference one to another. The only way I know how to do it is to do some visual lisp as the variables in the dynamic block are able the be found and put into variables, like when you type list and click the block the dynamic dimensions are listed there. You could try fields but I have never done it this way! hope this helps
