    AutoCAD 2009?

Unfortunately I don't have that version on my computer any more. But from what I recall using the Find command goes something like this.

    EDIT > FIND

This brings up the Find and Replace dialog box.

Where it says "Find Text String" type in your text. Example: ABC123

Once you do you click on the Find button.

Your text will show up in the box labeled "Content" at which point you click on the "Zoom to" button.

AutoCAD zooms to the text string. When you close the dialog box AutoCAD should not zoom out at all.

Sorry, but our company blocks access to those types of websites.

In 2012 it works fine and you stay zoomed in on the text.

However for 2009 there is no suck luck. See http://cadablog.blogspot.com/2008/05...eplace-no.html for a work around though (zoom previous).
