Purging Empty Groups (AutoCAD 2012)

I believe it happens automatically in AutoCAD 2012. Seems you may have carried over some bloat from one drawing into another. Since this is happening in every drawing you open I suspect this has been an ongoing problem for quite some time.

One way to address it is to purchase a single-user license for a program called DwgPurge created by DotSoft, LLC. The program can rip through a folder of drawings in mere minutes without opening the editor. The cost is $29.95 (U.S.). It is available via the AutoDesk Exchange (look under Apps - use the search feature too).
