Dadgad
If you are working from a 3D Model it is very simple. One of the remarkable things about Autocad is the MASSPROP command. It never ceases to amaze me how much is going on "in the background", if you will. If you want to determine the weight of a model, and it is steel? Multiply the VOLUME times .000007850 (as this unitless model's volume is displayed in mm3, as there are 1,000,000,000 mm3 per cubic meter, and the weight of a cubic meter of steel is about 7850 kgs). If you have a 3D model use it, or you can extrude your 2D drawing to make a 3D model, and use it.
eldon
Look up in your help files the command MASSPROP. You can get moments of inertia from a 2D cross section.
