Default Unable to clear hidden lines in the print out

I am a new learner of the ACAD 2000 - 3D drawing. I am able to create 3D solid etc, able to hide the hidden lines on the computer screen but every time I print out, the hidden lines appear in the print out. I have few to ask and they do not know how to overcome this problem, so can you friends out there help me !?

Thank you very much for you helpful assistance.

are you printing from modelspace or the layout tab ?
if it's the layout tab, type MVIEW, and type H for HIDEPLOT, then ON and then select the viewport you wish to hide the lines in.
Also, check out the DISPSILH system variable

Press CTRL+P to open the Plot dialog window. In the Plot options check the Hide Plot option. This should solve your problem.
Hendie I am glad to se that I am not the only one typing the commands. From some time, people invented the keyboard...
It's nice to be nice, but sometimes is nicer to be evil!.
Tip: Please do not PM or email me with CAD questions - use the forums, you'll get an answer sooner.

Thank you hendie and fuccaro for your replies.
I am able to clear the hidden lines now but the surftab lines on the faces are distracting looks. Besides the cylindrical solid side lines(seen left and right) looked to be wider at the bottom.
    Can these be improved ?

    Thank you again.

did you try looking at (and changing) the DISPSILH variable ?
(I think you are talking about the solid faceting)
