    Default Navisworks/ Autodesk Design Review....

    Hey guys,

Forgive me as I cannot see a topic on Navisworks.....

Is there a way to measure pipe circumference on Navisworks instead of the rather basic point to point method?

Same question applies to Autodesk Design Review, I cannot seem to take an accurate diameter measurement. My model is a solid model which I want to send to clients who do not have Autocad, but I want them to be able to take measurements as if it were in autocad!

Yeah this is a tuff one. Navisworks can measure arbitrarily, but for absolute dimensions I use autocad. There is a funky little snaps function in Navisworks ( Depending on what version you are using ) and it will snap to vertex, center and edges automatically. It can be found in global options interface/snapping. You might also go to measure and set the tolerance, colour and turn in 3d on. You will need to turn on your heads up display as well, so you will be able to know which axis you are measuring. This can be found ( Depending on what version you are using ) in the global options interface/display. There is a Navisworks forum on Cadtutor. Go to the main Forums, Autodesk software general and you will also find other information about navisworks. Enjoy my friend.

You might find that this will do it for you, not sure, just thinking out loud here.
