Proctor
Hello: I have a question about drawing linetypes. If you take a look at my pic, both polylines are drawn on the same linetype layer. The first polyline is drawn with just a couple of points. The second polyline is drawn using many points. Both are the same distance. Why is it that my line type on the second polyline looks different than that of the first? They both use the same layer and are the same distance - the only difference is the number of points used to create it. Thanks, Proctor
SLW210
What is different about them?
Proctor
Thank you for your reply. In the pic...the first polyline displays the letters "LED" several times. The second polyline does not display any of these letters....it only shows a straight line. both are on the same layer that has the same linetype and both are the same length; however, i drew the 2nd one using several points. thanks again for your help, Proctor
Organic
Select the second polyline and in the properties pane change 'Linetype generation' to 'enabled'.
SLW210
Your linetype scale will need to be adjusted to allow the letters to show between the points or as Dink stated enable linetype generation.
