jim gamble
Can you help with opening a drawing for which `Drawing file is not valid` please. This drawing was done on possibly the first version of Autocad LT. I am still using this old version. I have identified the drwing in Notepad - it was created on 08/24/2010. Any thoughts on how I might recover it please ?
MSasu
Try to open the drawing using Recovery command; if this doesn't help try to get a better copy of it (if is downloaded or copied from an old media). Also, if have the correspondent BAK file try to use that (rename it to DWG). Hope that you didn't saved it when open in Notepad! ReMark
You can try opening it with AutoDesk's free viewer - DWG TrueView. Download it here...http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/pc/index?id=6703438&siteID=123112 Within the program you'll find DWG TrueConvert where you can save the file to another version.
