Linetype scale from Model space to Paper Space

Hi everyone,

I have an issue with linetype scale. I have a certain part of my drawing with dash lines at a linetype scale of 1000. In Model space it is fine but when I change to Paper Space the lines become solid. I have tried increasing the linetype scale in Model space to compensate for the scale in Paper space but the lines are still solid can anyone help me please.

Cheers

Sam

Are there any lines in modelspace which display as you would like the other lines to display? If so you can use the match properties command (type MA at the commandline) to assign those properties to the lines you want to change.

I have before now had to refresh the page in paper space for my dashed lines to show might me worth a try (not sure if that would apply to a block) bet someone will tell you better then m8 lol

It will be asked by other's , can you post the problem part here ?

Try using linetype scale of 1.

Are the lines which you are trying to change in a block, or are the ones in the block the ones which you think look right?

If you're using a LTSCALE of 1000, then your Modelspace scale must be about 1/1000 for the lines to display correctly. This is kinda an outdated practice that doesn't mix well when also using Paperspace/Layouts.

I would recommend using;

LTSCALE = 1 (or some prefer the way lines display at 0.5)

MSLTSCALE = 1

PSLTSCALE = 1

CELTSCALE = 1

With those settings, lines should always display correctly regardless of the paperspace/layout scale. (regen is sometimes required after zooming to update the linetype generation)
