jrn
When editing block in-place, not onely objects in the block, but also other objects (just drawn normal in modelspace), is affected by the commands. Thats very new to me. Has enyone experienced this? And how to make it stop doing so?
ReMark
Did you group the objects? Did you somehow put constraints on the objects.
designerstuart
if you enter command REFEDIT and in stead of selecting a block from the list, select settings. in 2010 there is a box for 'lock objects not in block' or something to that effect. jrn
> ReMark No, there's no groups. There's a couple of blocks made with "flip", "align" and "hide"-functions made in block editor, but they're copied from another drawing (with same template). These blocks workes fine in the other drawings. >designerstuart Aha!- there it was. It took some time, because I didn't got what you ment by "and in stead of selecting a block from the list, select settings". I just double-clicked on the block and the dialog box pops up. There, as you said, simple as it is... select the Settings-tab and mark the box "Lock objects not in working set" Problem solved! Thanks a lot!!! Enigma
I've been having a somewhat similar issue. For example I will double click a block to edit it, and for example will window objects within that block to match aproperties, but objects NOT in the block that were covered by the windowed area (crossing or whatever) will be selected and changed. The 'lock objects not in working set' is toggled on with a checkmark under the settings tab. edit: This is using Autocad mechanical 2012 Edited July 25, 2012 by Enigma added version
