Default Embedded Attributes in a AutoCAD file exported from ArcGIS

    Hi,

I recieved a DWG file of a road network which was exported out of ArcGIS, I am opening the DWG file in Civil3D 2010 and I can not find the road name attributes that I am being told are embedded into the DWG file. Can anyone help me out or point me in the right direction?

    Thanks in advance

If you have a DWG that was exported from ESRI you will not be able to get to those attributes. Ask for the shape files (shp, shx, dbf) then you can use the map 3d MAPIMPORT command with Object Data or Data Connect to get the attributes. Also ask Map, gis, esri questions in the map forum. http://www.cadtutor.net/forum/forumd....php?59-Map-3D
