Paradise
Hi, i made a Lowboard for the living room (Multibody Part). I made the front with arcs and thin extrude: That gives me one Solid Body: But now i need ellipse openings in the front. From what i understand is that i need to make it a sheet metal to unfold the front. But i don't get it and every tutorial on sheet metal does not help. Somebody here who can give me a step by step tutorial ?
JD Mather
Looks like you are missing Tangent Relation and dimensions. You don't really need to convert to sheet metal to get the cuts - but in what form do you want then to be elliptical? You can have them elliptical in the bent form or elliptical in the flat form - but not both. How will the part be manufactured? Can you attach the file here. Paradise
Manufactured by hand - router and jigsaw :-) The front will be three layers of 3 mm MDF This is what i need: The other thing that i need the unfold for would be to know the length of the MDF sheets. Or is there a way to measure the length of the curve? Lowboard - MASTER MODEL.SLDPRT
