Some commands "unknown"??

I recently migrated my copy of AutoCAD 2002 to a new PC. It seems to have forgotten some commands, for example rectang and dsettings. Others like line and arc work fine.

I've searched this forum and found similar questions, but none of those solutions have worked. The support file path settings seem OK, and acad.pgp looks OK as far as I can tell.

Note: I couldn't find the installer when I migrated, so I had to copy all the files by hand, but I'm pretty sure I kept the directories intact.

_rectang Unknown command "RECTANG"

Sounds like a good time for an uninstall-reinstall ACAD. Isn't the ACAD.pgp file just a list of shortcuts and associated commands? Not a list of available commands from ACAD. If you make up a shortcut of XYZ = !@#!^@$^%*$%^** command, ACAD will return with an "unknown command".

BTW...Welcome to the forum!:D

DEMANDLOAD doesn't help, "APPLOAD" is another unknown command..

I used the Microsoft Easy Transfer to move the files from the old XP machine to the new Windows 7 machine. I bought the old PC second hand from a friend, and CAD was already installed, so I don't have the disks. Can't find an installer .exe anywhere on the old drive.

So much for relying on Microsoft Easy Transfer. It was easy, it just wasn't accurate.

Sounds like some Registry entries have gone missing.

Do you still have the old drive?

Yes, the old machine is sitting right here, I'm still using it to get work done while I sort out the new one.

BTW, thanks for all the help so far.
