Default Set up PDF plot in AutoCad 2012 Win 7

Registered forum members do not see this ad.

    Hi Guys
I started this new thread as I managed to sort the earlier problem.
I have just purchased a new laptop running Win 7 and AutoCad 2012.
I have loaded my Adobe Pro ver 7 on this machine.
When I go to plot in AutoCad I can not see an PDF printer?
Can anybody tell me what I need to do to get it set up.
The same thing happens in Word and Excel, I can not see the PDF printer.
I have this on a desktop machine running Win xp pro and the PDF printer is visible in all programs including AutoCad.
    Thanks for your help.

Are the latest updates for Adobe Pro v7 installed?

Could it be that this version is too "old" to be utilized on Windows 7?

    Heh Remark
Yeh that's what I thought but I am sure all the updates have happened.
I still can't see a PDF printer driver in any program when I go to print/plot.
I have just downloaded Cute PDF free ver, and that printer driver shows up in
    AutoCad and other programs.
    Got me stumped.

Did you go into the Devices and Printers area (in Windows) and use the Add a Printer function?

I guess I misspoke, once you go through the Adobe install it should show up in the Windows printers. Start, Devices and Printers. Is it showing there?

Then for AutoCAD you will use the Plotter Manager to set it up to work in AutoCAD, this is where you will go through the calibration process and a .pc3 file will be created for it.

    Yeh
This is the thing, the pdf printer doesn't show up in any program including AutoCad and windows printers.
It has something to do with Win 7 I had no trouble at all with win xp pro, just loaded adobe and it all worked perfect.
