Hello

We have painful problem in the office .

We are using ATIR STRAP to do analysis and then export DXF in order to continue editing in AutoCAD 2007. the problem is that AutoCAD doesn’t recognize the font. For example the Diameter sign we used in ATIR STRAP become a question mark in Autocad.

We installed the corresponding font of ATIR STRAP

Any suggestion will be greatly welcome

Thanks

Shay

Is this a SHX font or a TrueType font?

Where did you install it?

ATIR STRAP? Never heard of it. Is this for a particular language or set of symbols?

Strap is used here is Israel and yes the interface is in Hebrew.

only numbers and diameter symbols are used.

the font came from the developer of ATIR http://www.atirsoft.com/ and its an SHX.

autocad 2000 can show this font with no problem but any autocad greater than 2000 place a problem

Thanks

I don't understand why any version of AutoCAD would have a problem displaying a SHX font.

Where did you install the font? What folder?

Could this be a language pack problem?

I think ReMark is right. Sounds like a language pack problem to me. If it is a .SHX shape file it will latch on to it straight away. Does the version of autocad loaded have options to correct languages? Try installing the language packs again. If it is not there you may have to take it up with Autodesk for a solution.

The problem may be buried in the font definitions. In the Unifont definitions that are provided with AutoCAD, the shape numbers use hexadecimal as opposed to decimal values.

To sort out the problem, someone would have to get to the SHP files, and puzzle it out from there.
