XML Tables in SolidWorks

I would like to create an XML table to use for the various cable/conductor/wire sizes that we use. However, I am not sure on what the from/to reference should be as it depends on what I am using the cable/conductor/wire for. The same would also apply for the length of the cable/conductor/wire as it could vary depending on what assembly I am creating. Can I use a default length of say 5' and modify the length for the assembly I am working on?

Thanks!

scoobydoo, i typically use the routing library manager to handle this sort of thing. You dont need to give SW a length to define the cable library. The cable library only defines the OD of the cable, the # of cores and the core dia. oh and the min bend radius.

are you actually entering a column for length and having SW recognize this?

if you prefer to create your own XML file i would open up the SW sample library and start with that as your base.
