Default Two issues with AutoCAD 2002

I have two issues with ACAD 2002, and I just wanted to see if there was a solution. First when I use the break at point button it works fine to break a line at a specific point, but then when I press the space bar (to redo the command), it defaults to the break command instead of the break at point command. Has anybody else noticed that.

Also I've found that using the wheel on a mouse to zoom in and out is very useful, however it only seems to work occasionally. It would zoom in and out, and in, but then all of a sudden it freezes and it only pans...I've found that if you hold down ctrl while you use the wheel it will almost always work. But still this seems like a flaky bug. Is there a reason for this, or better yet a patch.

I have heard from a friend he had that mousewheel problem. He had installed software with the mouse which set the wheel function not to standard but gave it another function, this caused the wheel to react weird, also when scrolling in or out when the pointer was above a scrollbar gave problems...

For your first problem, instead of using the space bar to re-use the break @ command, use your right-mouse-button. For your second problem, it could be your mouse settings, or your mouse. I am using a logitech 3-button mouse with scroll. The scroll-wheel is the third button. I can zoom in and out with the wheel, or I can press the scroll-wheel down and pan the screen.
    Mbuttonpan set to 1.
Start > Control panel > Mouse > Mouse Properties > buttons: middle button set to "autoscroll". A M$ mouse or other brand may have different options.

Does anybody have an MS mouse that they've set appropriately. It's not such a huge problem since I can get around it. But if somebody has "fixed" this issue, I'd love to know it.

    Thanks.

I'm not really sure what you mean by setting the scroll wheel to standard. I have the MS Intellimouse Explorer if that makes a difference. Is that option in a menu somewhere?

Look in the options of your program and see if you can find what the function of your mousewheel is set to...

It is set to double click, but there is no standard option.

Well there really isn't any scrolling setting, there is a scrolling tab, but it doesn't give me an option to change what the scrolling does. It is just for scrolling.
