fuccaro
Please help me out, my friends. I defined some global variables ad I linked sketch dimensions to them. I used two sketches for a sweep feature and it works well; I can change the shape by changing the global variables. The problems arise when I try to make a liniar pattern of it. How to link the number of instances and the spacing to variables? Or at least how to use some formulas for them? The same problem I have with a shell; how on can give the thickness programatically? Thanks in advance for your reply.
shift1313
there are a few ways to go about this but i think the easiest is to make your feature, then click on it(sometimes twice) in the feature tree. This will display the values on the model. You can then Right-click them and Link Value to your global variable.
fuccaro
Yes, it works! Thank you, and please don't go far away; I just began with SW and for sure I will have more questions
shift1313
glad it works! What version of SW are you running? 2012 changed up linked variables and the equation editor a bit.
