I have a new computer and I am running windows 7. Autocad tells me windows 7 is not compatible with my 2006 version.

Is there a fix I can download. I am not in a postion to buy a later version autocad.

Are you running the 64 bit version of Windows 7? Autocad 2006 is a 32 bit application, so that may be why you are receiving that message. There is no fix for you to download. Autodesk stopped supporting Autocad 2006 several years ago.

You could try by upgrading to Windows 7 Professional, downloading virtual PC and XP mode, and then installing Autocad while in XP mode.

I'll bet that even with the suggestions from Scott you'll find that the error message will not go away.

Why? My installation of R14 went flawlessly using this approach.
