Just Got started with MEP. Have been working with AutoCadd for years. Can't seem to change the units from Metric to Architectural. Am I stuck with Metric or how can I change it?

Seems I thought I could set the units without openning a file. When opening an existing file the units have been pre-set. While somewhat different then Cadd 2010 it works. It will take some time and a little help to get comfortable with MEP.

Set your STARTUP to 1 if you want the wizard every time you start AutoCAD MEP. Or just type UNITS and make your adjustments, it's the same thing. Best thing to do is set your default Template with all these settings so you don't always have to do this every time.

A template contains presets for either METRIC or IMPERIAL, make sure that you are starting with an appropriate template. You can still make changes to UNITS once a dwg is opened, but you cannot change that default type which is inherent to the template from within a DWG. Your PROPERTIES scale values will indicate architecturally, or metrically based upon the template used. You probably want to specify an appropriate QNEW template to ensure that you always have the dimensional format which you favor. You might also want to SYSVDLG > STARTUP and explore the various VARIABLE driven startup options.
