I TOOK A CLASS IN AUTOCAD 2000 A FEW YEARS BACK AND I AM NOW TRYING TO REVIVE MY INTEREST IN CADD. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF THERE IS A WAY TO DIMENSION IN MULTIPLE VIEWPORTS WITHOUT THE DIMENSIONS APPEARING IN ALL VIEWS, I ONLY WANT APPLICAIABLE DIMENSIONS IN THIER PROPER VIEW. WHAT IS THE PROCEDURE FOR DOING THIS, WITH IN A 3-D MODEL OR MUST EACH VIEW BE DRAWN AS A 2-D DRAWING? THANKS

The main thing that you have to remember when you want things to show up in one viewport but not the other is to use your layers. This way you can freeze one layer in one viewport so that you can still have certain objects viewable in another viewport.
Hope this helps!
