    Love Excited about Navisworks 2013

Okay, so got Navisworks Manage 2013 installed and I have to say it's a great release. Some key features I'm loving at the moment:
    • Native Revit support. No more deleting a file, exporting the NWC from Revit, importing, etc etc.
    • Grids and Levels... now supports them natively from Revit which is awesome. It even interfaces with the Clash Detective tool so that you know exactly where the clashes are, etc (nearest column grid line).
    • Drag/Drop selection sets.
    • Enhanced Clash Detective tools.

      And best of all.....
    • Navisworks Freedom 2013 (the free viewer) now has the Sectioning Tools. FINALLY!! haha.
Good work on this release. I'm excited to really get in there and use it. I already have some huge pressing jobs that will make life MUCH easier. Just thought I'd share is all.

It's great when you get your hands on a new Autodesk release. We have just have the price quoted for the upgrade to the Inventor 2013 ultimate product design suite I have never used Navisworks. Looks like it has the ribbon that most Autodesk products have these days. Does it also have a user friendly interface?

If in doubt scale and don't ask!

Yeah it does have the Ribbon. I like the Ribbon in programs like Navisworks though, because they have much less "tools" than AutoCAD so it is not as overwhelming. The Navisworks interface is one of the simplest interfaces I've ever dealt with to be honest. It's a few of the tools that will take some time getting used to (advanced Viewpoint tools, Clash Detective tools, Timeliner tools, Advanced Selection Sets, etc). Other than that I absolutely love Navisworks and I've always felt comfortable in the program.
