Default Visio like connection (glue) points?

    Hi,

I'm working on a lighting plan. So I want to create symbols for switches and for lights and connect a switch to a light using an arc so that when I move either switch/light, the arc is repositioned accordingly. Similar to connectors in visio.

What is the method for doing that?

Please try if STRETCH command is helping you.

As mentioned, the stretch command would be useful.

The link below demonstrates how to use it both at orthogonal angles (straight up or down) or at an angle

Similar solution to geometric constraints is to use a dynamic block with 2 no. Point Parameters (one for light and second for switch) and 2 no. Stretch Actions (one selection for light with one end of arc and second selection for switch with second end of arc).
