What kind of 3D acceleration do you expected with AutoCAD LT?
Registered forum members do not see this ad.
Autocad LT doesn't seem to recongnize the NVIDIA QUADRO 600.
I've updated the NVIDIA drivers and the AUTOCAD performance driver.
I've reinstalled Autocad. Nothing seems to help.
I can put hardware-acceleration on, but it doesn't seem to do much (see below!).
Your help is very welcome, many thanks in advance

As more graphics cards and 3D display drivers are tested, they are added to a list on the Autodesk website.
You can check for updates and download the latest certification list at any time. Run the 3DCONFIG command and click the Check for Updates button.

'What kind of 3D acceleration do you expected with AutoCAD LT?'
I expected that for the showed items HARDWARE ACCELERATION would be available.
If not: what does Hardware Acceleration do in Autocad LT 2012???![]()
Have you check it on Autodesk webpage?

It looks like there are only five items, which are supported:and my point was that all of them are rather 3D features than 2D (AutoCAD LT).
- Smooth Display
- Per-Pixel Lighting
- Gooch hardware Shader
- Texture Compression
- Advanced Material Effect
They are rather 3D features than 2D indeed,
but why does Autocad say:
'Your machine contains a 3D Device that is not certified.' ???
@ Blackfish
'Downgrading' the NVIDIA driver did the trick!
My machine contains now a certified 3D Device with a driver version that is certified!!!
Thanks for your help anyway!
(You were right about it that most of the futures aren't applicable anyway.)

That line means absolutely nothing in terms of actual performance, it only means that Autodesk has not yet tested that particular driver. Their use of the word "device" is misleading at best, because that line does not refer to the video card, it refers to the software driver.Your machine contains a 3D Device that is not certified.
Autodesk is notoriously slow at "certifying" new drivers, so I put ZERO weight in whether a driver is on their list or not. I'm not running "Certified" drivers on any of my Quadro/FirePro machines because they're not the "best" drivers for the card.... nor for AutoCAD.

Welcome to the forum.
Anticipate significantly LESS THAN STELLAR 3D performance, from your 2D software.
Go figure?![]()

@Nestly
Thanks for your remarks!
So actually, what you suggest is:
Upgrading to the latest NVIDIA driver and don't bother about certifying issues with Autocad, because it does not have any influence on the actual performance.
Are you 100% sure about the latter?
Thanks in advance.![]()
