asteffy Posted May 15, 2012 Share Posted May 15, 2012 I created several dimension styles to use in paper space. All of these work perfectly, and accurately if my dimassoc is set a 1. However I wanted these to be associative dimensions. When I change the dimassoc to 2, the associative dimensions aspect of this works, but the dimension text is multiplied by the scale factor for some reason. For example, the dimensions should read 50' and now read 4800' when was scale factor is at 96 for 1/8" scale. How do I go about setting up my dimstyle to be assocaitive and accurate? Typically I have several different scale viewports on each sheet in paper space, so I need multiple dimension styles. Any help would be great. Thanks. Blackfish Posted May 15, 2012 Share Posted May 15, 2012 If you measure the distance of 50' in paper space in layout with scale of 1/8" your 4800' is right, because Autocad multiply it by 96 to get the real size of element drawn in model space. However you can change it and set "Dim scale linear" in Propertis from 96 into 1. PS. What is interesting Autocad measure blocks with not equal scale (x, y or z) as they were drawn in paper space!
