    hi all

'express' is the only one which appears when MENUBAR <1>
tried reading a few previous threads but nothing worked. i have recently imported a CUI and the toolbar does work alright for the standard autocad profile.

i guess i need to add a file to my support path or something - using MENULOAD perhaps? pls tell me what file to point to, or what i have done wrong.

    ta

    Type in the command MENU.
The file selection window should default to the directory "C:\Users\<username>\appdata\roaming\autodesk\ aca 2012\enu\support\aca" (for Win7, or something similar).
    If not, navigate there.
Select the file named "ACA.cuix" (you may or may not see the file extension, depending on your windows settings)
    Click Open.

This will load the default AutoCAD Arch menu file.

Now you are back to default settings, what is it you were trying to do?

thanks RK - for that mildly sarcastic (but helpful) reply. you're saying it's easier to rebuild my customisation from one that works than fix the one i broke?!

and before i do rebuild it, may i just vent a frustration? i'm amazed at how difficult it seems to migrate a profile from one machine to another. am i wrong? i do customise a lot of stuff - but still would have thought i could just copy a bunch of files onto a new machine and point AutoCAD in that direction, no? i have plenty of personalisations:
    aliases in acaddoc.pgp
    additional commands in acaddoc.lsp
    toolbar positions
a custom toolbar with my custom macros with their own little .bmp images (sad but true)
colours to make the command line darker
a few lisps in the appload startup suite
    and a 100% size crosshair

but every time i switch machine, it seems i need to re-do pretty much the whole process. the colours work, and the .lsp and pgp files come through, but as for toolbars and other workspace settings, nothing. have you written a nice blog on the best way to do this that works every time?!

    thanks again

Sorry, was not trying to be sarcastic. I was just trying to get you back to normal so you would have a known starting point from which to proceed.

As for migration, see http://cadpanacea.com/node/34 - although it looks like you have got most of this down.
Basically, any setting that can be pushed - push it (i.e.: crosshair size, colors, etc.) I suppose you could apply this to toolbar positions too, but I've never done that in practice.
