    Hi,
I have a problem, when I use swept it twist around projected curve, and when I use guide face I get self-intersecting error.
when I use helix with less revolutions I get the result but I need more revolutions.
Diameter of profile is not bigger than diameter of helix...
Can anyone tell me where am I doing wrong?
the file is bigger than 500KB so I uploaded it on rapid...

    Hi Igor

Maybe you've already worked out a solution to your coil problem, but 2 things I often do to make a solid coil behave are:

    (1) Sketch a temporary line away from the centreline of profile, so the region sits away from centre. This simply creates a hole along the solid's axis, which you can of course fill up with a simple extrusion.
    (2) Sometimes I can get a "self-intersecting" coil to work (especially if creating a "cut") by splitting the region into 2, creating 2 coils that go side-by-side.
