I have MTEXT in a drawing and what Im hoping to do is have half of it on one layer and the other half on another. This might seem daft and easy, but when I explain that I have mtext in a table and wnat yto actually split a line of mtext that was created in one mtext editor, then put each bit on a different layer it becomes a nightmare. How do I do it?I can go in individually and cut the text out I need and then chamnge the layer for that bit of mtext but then I have line the two lines of mtext up,its not very accurate

You could always use DTEXT. This command automatically lines up text after a carriage return but each line is a seperate object.

I suppose I could convert the MTEXT ot DTEXT and go form there. We used to use DTEXT at college before, but I've always found MTEXT as is alot easier to manipulate text.I'll give it a go.
