Autocad 2013 crashing upon choosing a hatch boundary

Title explains it all, i try to hatch something and my drawing crashes. I have purged things i dont use, detached my xrefs and it still instantly crashes when i select a curved fin wall i have to hatch it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, this project is due tomorrow at 8 AM, and I dont want to submit without hatches.

Would it be possible for you to upload and attach a sample DWG file with just the curved fin wall in it? We do NOT need the entire drawing. What hatch pattern were you planning on using?
