Default How do I copy a polygon on an object to polygon on same object by instance?

    I have a tube:

I have 8 materials that I will be applying at random to the 127 sides. But right now I only have 8 sides with materials. I'd like to copy by instance those 8 since the materials are aligned just like I want. Is it possible to copy polygons to other polygons by instance? This tube is a multi sub-object material with 8 material ids.

Sorry about the late reply. Did you ever get this problem solved? I assume this is a continuation of the project you posted about previously?
I don't have Max loaded on this machine, but if I have time I'll take a look at this question tomorrow.

I ended up solving it by separating the individual faces then making the side part of the cylinder the parent object. This allowed me to import it into Unity 3d, my preferred game engine, and manipulate the face materials individually. Thanks for your reply.
