bulls2030
I am currently doing a project for a company and I am learning autocad at the moment. The company wants me to print out the drawing on a big piece of paper at KINKOS (I think 4ft by 6ft or something like that). I am using AUTOCAD 2012 and it the drawing is a floor plan. Can anyone help me on how to do that? Anyones assistance is greatly appreciated. Thanks,
ReMark
What file format will you be providing Kinko's with? DWG? DXF? PDF? Will the print be black and white or color? Does it have to be plotted to a particular scale? Are you working in model space exclusively or utilizing a paper space layout along with a viewport? bulls2030
I have never done this before so I do not know what file format to provide to Kinkos This will be in Black and White I have not been given any directions on plotting to a particular scale Your last question I am not sure how to answer. Where it says the tabs Model, Layout 1, Layout 2, I am doing the drawing in Model
ReMark
And when do you need to have this done by? You are currently working on the drawing or is it done? Did you draw everything in model space at full size or did you scale it? You might want to call Kinko's and tell them you have an AutoCAD drawing you want reproduced and ask what file formats are acceptable. I've got to go out into the plant for a while but upon my return I'll check this thread. There are other members who can assist you in the meantime. rkent
The best advice is to start by calling Kinkos, ask them what they need. Also if they can print to 4' wide.
ReMark
Did you draw everything in model space at FULL size? Yes or No? Do you need this floor plan plotted to some sort of scale? If so, what scale might that be? Edited June 11, 2012 by ReMark
bulls2030
I drew everything in model space at the sizes that were given to me (like 6' 5'' i put in autocad as 6feet 5 inches) and they didnt say anything to having it plotted to scale Did you draw everything in model space at FULL size? Yes or No? Do you need this site plan plotted to some sort of scale? If so, what scale might that be?
