Question Importing Secondary Index File as Points

Registered forum members do not see this ad.

I have a list of files (from our surveyor) and they have the file extensions .i00, .x01, .x02 etc..

I am to take these files and import them into a drawing as points but I have never seen this type before . Would someone know what I'm to do with them?

If they are txt files, they can be named anything with any extension. What equipment (data collector + software) are the surveyors using? It almost looks like .x01 is day 1 or data dump #1, .x02 is day or dump #2 and so on. You may be able to check by opening the files in a text editor. I assume you have imported points before and know the PNEZD format that the data should look like when you open it in an editor. Different data collectors create different file combinations.

    Thanks bill,

I got this figured out.. I didn't realize I needed to convert these to a .csv before importing them. I don't have the program to do it on my computer but luckily someone in the office did.
