Default Opinions of the Dell Mobile Precision M6600

Registered forum members do not see this ad.

My coworker and I are looking to upgrade to the Dell M6600 workstations.
He runs Civil 3D, arcview, Xmap, and Carlson.
I run Map 3D 2012, Raster Design 2012, Bentley Substation, PLS-Cadd, and a few others. I do a lot of 3D modeling just in case that matters.

Here is the summary of what we are looking at. If you guys see any red flags please let me know. All opinions are welcome.

I have nearly an identical M6600 as my work computer, same major hardware components (Processor, RAM, VC), and I use Land Desktop 2009, Civil 3D 2011, Map 3D 2011, Raster Design 2011, Civil 3D 2012, AMEP 2012, Raster Design 2012, without any issues.

Best work laptop I've ever had the luxury of working with.

Looks like some really good specs!

You might look into a SSD for core programs as a second HD (a wish list item-They can still be kinda spendy.)
