Modify my model in CAD/Change Dimensions

I just tried to assemble my model and realized that I should make the dimension of the door 0.06" larger in order to become closed! It took me a week to complete this model, so I don't wanna redraw everything! How can I modify my model in CAD? Any ideas!

Are we talking a 3D model?

Yes! That's a 3D model. I applied several commands (e,g., shell, fillet,...) to create it. Unlike a 2D, it's not that simple to get modified!

Have you tried the MOVE FACES command?

Only 0.06" larger? How did you even notice the difference?

One of the solidedit tools (like move face) should get you there.
But you aren't trying to make exact parts without allowance for manufacturing tolerance and clearance are you? (example - a 10mm pin will not fit in a 10mm hole)

Actually, it's a new design model, so I don't have any specific pattern tofollow and I am not sure what Tolerance exact value I should go with!

In a simple word, I designed a door+Lock for a small box with a volume of 4cubic Inches. The hinge size was just changed. So, I'm obliged to increase thedoor width about 0.06"!

I tried "Move Faces", it just moved a face on my 3D solid. Icouldn't change the dimensions though!

Meanwhile, I used "Smart Dimension" in Solidworks. However, thePrimary Value option was not active anymore for a 3D model!

If I get done with the assembly process, I should send the model forprototyping!

In many cases, you can simply CTRL+Click on a solid face and use the grip to resize a solid.

Do you have any text overrides on your dimensions? If you have a text override on the dimension the text will always say whats in the override box and not the actual dimension. Maybe that's why when you change the model the dimension still has the same value.

Unfortunately, none of this has worked for my case! I also tried it in Solidworks (See the attachment, it's a simple example to illustrate it better); however "Smart Dimension" was not able to modify a 3D model dimensions as well!

Notice that your dimension is in parenthesis. This means it is a driven dimension, not a driving dimension.
