Annotative text "mind of it's own"

Recommended Posts

I have just encountered annotative text for the first time this week.

We are editing files originating from outside our office. When layers containing AT are copied and pasted from "their" file to "ours" the text behaves in an unpredictable manner as follows

- it moves locations . Not in a uniform manner - different texts move to different locations and rotations

- it changes size

- some , not all , of the leader line change direction

I notice that when selected that - as well as the text on display highlighting - that you also see " a ghost" text . Frustratingly this "ghost" text is usually ( but not always ) sized and located as per the original file and as per PDF record files.

Anybody got a cure ( apart from Ghostbusters :) )

That is normal behavior for annotative text. If you verse yourself in the workings of it, that will help you get the desired result by setting the correct annotative scale in your drawing or you could simply make it non-annotative and set it the way you need it to look.
