Do you know where the AUTOSAVE files are stored?
If not go to OPTIONS, and on the FILE tab, as shown in post #5 you can check to see where they are stored.
Go to the AUTOSAVE file, once you know where it is, and check for a .BAK file with the same drawing name as the one you are hoping to restore.

Should you find it, right click on it and RENAME it. What you want to do is change the file extension to .dwg
, then open it and see if your 3D modeling work is still in that file.
Good luck, hope you get lucky.

Are you in PERSPECTIVE or PARALLEL view?
Enter ORBIT at the commandline, then right click, and if you find that PERSPECTIVE is checked, check PARALLEL instead, then ESC.

Wait a minute, this is a drawing of your bathroom? I'm guessing there is no reason you can't post it? Security clearance issues?
You're bathroom isn't in the west wing of the white house?
I will happily check it right out for you, and we can put this issue to bed.

Thanks for your help. I went to options and found the autosave but it says that it is in a temp file which I can not find. I've been saving the drawing on the desktop and it is labeled bathroom.bak. I open it through autocad.autosave.JPG

Personally I like to specify another less transient location for my AUTOSAVE folder, although that is the default.

For the time being forget about autosave.
Change the file extension of the .BAK file on your desktop, as previously described to .dwg, then open it.
