Default Magnification of the object in viewport?

Odd problem here: In the perspective viewport, when I roll the mouse roller, one small click, the object snaps from being 60 ' away to being inside it. This just started this afternoon, I don't think I did anything to make that happen. I looked in viewport configuration but can't find anything to deal with this. Doesn't happen in the other viewports. How to fix? Thanks.

In a nutshell, I create 3D models from the client's CAD files or design sketches, which I then use to produce high quality rendered images. Click on the link in my signature to view my portfolio. I'm always looking for work, so let me know if you need any renders. :)

Click on an object to select it and then hit the little "Zoom Extents All Selected" button in the lower right corner. The mouse wheel should work better after you do this. If not, close Max and then start it back up again.

I'll try that. I've been using the magnifying glass but it's a bit awkward. Strangely, sometimes the mouse magnification works properly but sometimes it's really screwy, as I discribed above. Thanks.
