You will have to change the value of the system variable VSOBSCUREDLTYPE. A value of 2 will give you a dashed line but so will others (the length of the dash changes). Consult your AutoCAD Help file regarding the values (1-11) and what linetype is associated with each.

Hi!
I realy don't know where to look anymore, so plese help me with this.
I need to have hidden lines on a 3D object dashed. So basically I need all the lines but those lines that are at the back of a cube(wich are normaly hidden), they need to be dashed. See the attachment
Help will be appreciated

I notice that your profile says you are using 2012.
If you are working with 3D objects, and are not yet familiar with the VIEWBASE functionality which was introduced in 2012, I suggest you check it out.Volume and repetition do not validate opinions forged in the absence of thought.

Because the OP is asking about representing 3D objects using 2012, not specifically as a fix to the stated issue. Originally Posted by ReMark
