    Default Cad is running slow

Registered forum members do not see this ad.

I have a HP Workstation with 8 GB RAM each. But when I open a drawing (size is 30 mb) Auto CAD Map 3D takes 30 minutes to open. Is there any procedure to gear up the process?

    We'll need more information.

Give us the full specs on your computer and the software that is being used.

BTW...has the drawing file been purged and audited?

Are we to assume that AutoCAD Inrastruture Suite 2012 is 64-bit as well?

What version of Windows are you running? Win7? Home Edition, Pro, Ultimate?

    Have you disabled the InfoCenter?

    Have you attached any xrefs?

    Are you using layer filters?

    Is your scalelist bloated?

Scalelist. You are making use of paper space layouts and viewports aren't you? If so then you would have different scales for different viewports. The list of scales can get quite long.

Do you use other 3rd party running along AutoCAD Map 3D?
I've seen the same issue but it wasn't AutoCAD that loads slowly. Do you use other software to trace 3D maps to AutoCAD Map?
