    I opened the file I am having problems with and did the purge command. It didn't fix the area command problem.

    Did you run the command line version of purge with dash in front of it like this: -purge?

    Did you purge Regapps first followed by -purge > All?

    Finish up with the Audit command then save.

    I did not guarantee it would fix the AREA command. We're just cleaning up a file that might be corrupted. Do you use any custom lisp routines?

    yeah, any tip for cleaning files is good. I did like you said and everything can be cleared purged. I did the audit. It said 24 errors fixed. I don't use any lisps.
