    How to use External references?? i have worked in autocad but i dont know how to use this command, i have to do about 250 drawings of External references.

    Welcome to the forum.
    Here is a good entry level instruction to help you understand the basics. Just remember that an XREF is just another drawing which will be attached to a new drawing, perhaps standard items which are routinely used, for instance.
    Any drawing can be used as an XREF. They will have regular .dwg file names, which is all they are. They are EXTERNAL REFERENCES, because they are XREFED into another drawing.
