HENRYH83
Hi, I hope somebody can help me. Exception in acvmtools.arx ARX command Unhandled Exception C00000005 (access violation reading 0x0144) at address 697FF5BFh I have been getting the above error when i try to save or load up a new drawing on AutoCAD 2012. I can run the program but then the error appears. I have checked with the Autodesk online forum under autocad 2011 & AutoCAD 2012, where it would appear that there is a conflict between my graphics card driver and the software. Anyone know if this would be the case? Noone on the Autodesk forum can offer me a solution so im stuck and have nowhere to go with this. I am using a Toshiba Satellite Pro C660-2F6 with Windows 7 Professional Bit. With 6GB Ram Can you advise if you can help with this error as it is seriously effecting my ability to do my job. Thanks again Henry

SLW210
In AutoCAD commandline type _3DCONFIG, then select "View Tune Log" button, should be in section 3D Device.

ReMark
Just how did you come to find out the error was generated by a conflict between your graphics card driver and AutoCAD? Are you current with all 2012 updates?
SLW210
From Autodesk site........ These types of issue are commonly caused by using an unsupported video card or driver version. You will need to verify that the video card and/or driver is listed as certified per the links below. Try updating your driver HERE

Are you current with all 2012 updates? I was pretty much informed of this on the Autodesk forum. I dont know how to check if I current with my updates. HENRYH83
From Autodesk site........ Try updating your driver HERE Thanks i'll try this later this evening. I did 'roll back' my driver last night and autocad worked fine, however the graphics on the laptop became really poor in comparison to what i was getting before. I have since restored my machine back to the settings i had before changing the driver settings. obviously this has made Autocad no longer work. I see there are 3 drivers listed on the 'link' does it matter which one i use? Thanks again for your help and sorry for being such a dumbass. ReMark
Look in the upper right hand corner of your screen. See that downward pointing arrow? Click on it. Then click on the "About" option. That will open a separate window. Your version of AutoCAD will be listed as well as any service pack (SP) information. See mine? I'm current with Service Pack 2. And you? I've never had luck with Intel graphics cards and AutoCAD, might want to check if a dedicated graphics card is available for your computer. It didn't even list the video card memory size other than to say there is not enough.
